The Christmas Kumihimo Wreath

Collage 1

After the success (and fun) of my Christmas Kumihimo Wreath workshop I posted lots of photos of what everyone made and I have had numerous requests for a tutorial. So, by popular demand, here it is! This is one of those designs which could become addictive because it is just so adorable and easy to make. I think everyone who attended the workshop took the opportunity to stock up on extra magatamas in a range of fabulous colours, so that they could make more at home. This design would work well in virtually any colour combination, so you can go traditional or contemporary, depending on how you like to decorate your home. They make lovely little gifts and could be tied onto a special gift as an extra surprise. One of my workshop ladies decided to make hers into a brooch. Just imagine how stunning that would look on the lapel of a winter coat! Another lady decided to make hers into a bracelet and it looked amazing. It could even be extended into a necklace. If you would like to give it a go, here is the link to the tutorial,
