If you do a lot of kumihimo you will find that you end up with lots of spare scraps of braid and in this video I show a great way of using them up to great effect. It is very satisfying to use something which would otherwise be wasted, but you could also make braids specifically for this purpose. They make a great gift and they are lovely to wear because they are lightweight, but still eye-catching!
