Materials 

2 end cones – they need to be at least 2mm wider at the base than the braid                                                                     10cm wire, 0.8mm/20 gauge                                                                                                                                                         Clasp and 2 jump rings                                                                                                                                                                   Small bead to add decoration to the tip of the cone (optional)

Equipment

Ordinary sewing needle and strong thread                                                                                                                                    Set of pliers, inclucing wire cutters, round nose pliers and flat or chain nose pliers                                                     Scissors                                                                                                                                                                                                 All-purpose or fabric glue                                                                                                                                                                     A big darning needle can be used to pierce the braid more easily and a wine cork can be used to push into

How to finish braids – the wire method

It is really useful to be able to finish off your braids in different ways and this video shows how to attach an end cone and clasp using wire. It is very secure and makes it possible to use a wider range of findings than the glue method.
