Saturday 27th May. Spoilt Rotten Beads. Kumi-cabs pendant necklace.

Kumi-cabs

The kumi-cabs technique is a combination of kumihimo and capturing a cabochon with beading and includes a special bail technique. It is a great way to learn how to use kumihimo in an unusual way and should appeal to both braiders and beaders. The samples in the photos use luna soft cabs, but all sorts of cabochons, such as gemstone or ceramic, could be used. A detailled handout will be supplied  and lots of inspirational samples will be discussed to help students to develop the skills learnt in the workshop.
