Showing the designs all together like this shows just how versatile metal seed beads are. The large hole size allows multiple passes through the bead with a needle and thread, opening up all sorts of different design ideas. Using the beads with kumihimo made with S-Lon cord brings a touch of softness, colour and texture into the pieces. These designs can be made with different colours and cabochons to create totally different effects. When I am given metal seed beads in a kit I am always delighted because I know that my biggest problem will not be wondering how I can use them but it will be limiting myself to a manageable number of designs!
